 Handwara police busted gang of burglers* 





On 05.06.2021 Police station vilgam recieved a complaint from one Mohd Sultan Mir S/o Ab Ahad Mir R/o Matipora sharkoot to the effect that during intervening night of 2/3 June 2021 some unknown persons barged into his house and stole all movable property kept in the house.
Accordingly Case FIR NO. 48/2021 U/s 457, 380 IPC was registered in Police Station Vilgam regarding the incident and investigation taken up.

During investigation suspects viz Altaf Ahmad Mir S/O Ab Samad Mir R/o Hafrada and shabir Ahmad Sheik S/o Gh Mohi Uddin sheik R/o Hafrada have been called to Police Station for questioning.

During the course of questioning above mentioned accused persons confessed their involvement in the commission of  crime and also about their involvement in Case FIR NO. 22/2021 U/s 457, 380, 511 IPC of PS vilgam registered on 31.03.2021 on reciept of information through reliable sources that some unknown burglers have attempted to loot some shops at market Taratpora during  intervening night of 30/31.03.2021. 

They further disclosed that one more person namely Azad Ahmad Mir S/o Late Ab Razak R/o Daril Taratpora is also the part of the said gang and in involved in the same crime who is still at large and efforts are being taken to arrest him.
On their identification Police Station vilgam  recovered stolen property which include *GOLD ear ring ,Gold ring, clothes , Battery , Copper uttensils , cosmetics* etc.

With this Police Station vilgam solved Case FIR No. 48/21 u/s 457,380 IPC and case FIR No.22/2021 U/s 457,380,511 IPC. 
Public in general have hailed the efforts of *Handwara Police* in maintaining the peace   and security of  public .

Brigadier Sajjanhar Visits NCC Annual Training Camp at Udhampur

  Aadil Akbar  Udhampur, August 29: Brigadier Deepak Sajjanhar, SM, Group Commander of NCC Group Headquarters Srinagar, visited the Annual Training Camp of 7 J&K Battalion NCC Kupwara at the Zorawar Training Academy, Udhampur. The camp, which began on August 23 and will conclude on September 1, 2025, holds special significance as it is the first training camp organized by the newly raised battalion.
