 WREATH LAYING CEREMONY AT UPLONA  ON THE OCCASION OF KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS AADIL AKBAR BARAMULA   Uplona  Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of Haiderbeg Sector Kilo(k) force Headquarter celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas with ex-servicemen, local youth & school children of Khaitangan Higher Secondary School on 24th Anniversary of Kargil Victory at Uplona Army Camp. The event started with the Wreath Laying Ceremony at the war memorial. Local ex-servicemen laid the wreath, students and panch-sarpanches. symbolizing the deep bond shared between the soldiers and the community. Heartfelt saga of the valiant soldiers on the Kargil Victory was shared by  ESM, underlining the bravery and sacrifices made by the armed forces during the historic battle.  A total of 105 Indls attended the ceremony to incl local youths, panch/sarpanch along with several ESMs. As a part of the commemoration, a short documentary on the Kargil heroic was shown to school children shedding ...

 Dagger Division pays tribute to fallen heroes AADIL AKBAR  Baramulla: 26 July 2023: The 24th Kargil Vijay Diwas was commemorated today to remember and pay tribute to the courageous soldiers who fought under challenging conditions to secure the victory. To mark the occasion and offer profound homage to the gallant soldiers, a solemn wreath-laying ceremony was organized at the Dagger War Memorial. The event was attended by Major General Rajesh Sethi, GOC of Dagger Division, along with all ranks, who laid wreaths and paid their respects to the fallen heroes. During the ceremony, Major General Rajesh Sethi also took the time to interact with the 'Veer Naaris,' the brave women who lost their husbands during the Kargil war, as well as ex-servicemen. He personally felicitated them, acknowledging their sacrifices and contributions to the nation.

 AGS CHANDIGAM Marks Kargil Vijay Diwas with Dignity AADIL AKBAR KUPWARA On the eve of KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS local youth and students of Lolab organised Patriotic and Cultural Programmes to celebrate its 24th anniversary. Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated on 26th of Jul every year to commemorate the historical victory of India over Pakistan in Kargil war/ Op Vijay.  The event was organised at AGS Chandigam wherin over 1500 students from the schools of Lolab valley, took part in the event.  The event showcased mesmerising patriotic songs, dramas about the fallen soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice during Kargil war and enthralling dance performances by the students. Senior Army Officers Visited Flood Affected Area Of Lolab Valley AADIL AKABR  Kupwara, July 24 :  In the wake of devastating flash floods triggered by torrential rains in various villages of Lolab, Kupwara, the Indian Army at Gujjarpati Garrison, Lolab, has sprung into action to provide critical assistance to the affected population.  The Indian army has contacted the locals to ensure their safety. The important contact numbers of the Company Commanders and other appointments have been shared with the SDM office, the DSP office, other  local administrations and villagers. So far no substantial loss of property or life have been reported apart from the slide of a small portion of road along Shatnar which has been adequately covered by the Indian Army and local administration.  INDIAN ARMY ORGANISES  PICNIC FOR CHILDRENS AT KUPWARA  AADIL AKBAR Kupwara, July 24 Indian Army organised a picnic for children of My New School at Saran view point, Khumriyal wherein strength of 197 students attended the same alongwith teaching staff and Principal of Higher Secondary School Khumriyal was present at the location. The picnic commenced with introducing the general area of view point to students from class 5th and 6th and subsequently different varieties of games were also there which students played with full enthusiasm. Students participated in Karaoke and dance with zeal and showcased their talent.  Students enjoyed the natural view, games and other activities like boating and were really thankful to Indian Army for organising picnic and more such outings and picnics in future.
