 WREATH LAYING CEREMONY AT UPLONA  ON THE OCCASION OF KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS

 Uplona  Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of Haiderbeg Sector Kilo(k) force Headquarter celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas with ex-servicemen, local youth & school children of Khaitangan Higher Secondary School on 24th Anniversary of Kargil Victory at Uplona Army Camp.

The event started with the Wreath Laying Ceremony at the war memorial.


Local ex-servicemen laid the wreath, students and panch-sarpanches. symbolizing the deep bond shared between the soldiers and the community. Heartfelt saga of the valiant soldiers on the Kargil Victory was shared by  ESM, underlining the bravery and sacrifices made by the armed forces during the historic battle. 


A total of 105 Indls attended the ceremony to incl local youths, panch/sarpanch along with several ESMs.


As a part of the commemoration, a short documentary on the Kargil heroic was shown to school children shedding light on the immense hardships faced by the valiant soldiers during the historic battle. This gesture aimed to educate the younger generation about the sacrifices made by our mighty soldiers and instill a sense of appreciation and pride for their bravery.

Brigadier Sajjanhar Visits NCC Annual Training Camp at Udhampur

  Aadil Akbar  Udhampur, August 29: Brigadier Deepak Sajjanhar, SM, Group Commander of NCC Group Headquarters Srinagar, visited the Annual Training Camp of 7 J&K Battalion NCC Kupwara at the Zorawar Training Academy, Udhampur. The camp, which began on August 23 and will conclude on September 1, 2025, holds special significance as it is the first training camp organized by the newly raised battalion. On his arrival, Brigadier Sajjanhar was received by Commanding Officer Colonel Amit Bhardwaj and Administrative Officer Lt Colonel S.S. Misquith.
