 Army conducts Inter Village Games - Kho Kho for Girls & Arm Wrestling for Boys at  Mawar  Valley.

In continuation with its efforts to organise and promote Sports culture in Mawar Valley, Naugam Brigade organised village games at Middle School Lawoosa.


A girls event - Kho Kho was organised wherein teams from Govt Upper Primary School, Chak & Govt Middle School, Lawoosa participated. In a very close contested thrilling match, team from Govt Middle School Lawoosa was declared winner.


A boys event- Arms Wrestling was conducted for boys of the village of age group 18 to 21. In an event on knockout basis, 12 boys participated in the competition. In a closely contested final, ‘Mr Altaf Gani’ won the title defeating his opponent in the finals.


A healthy presence of crowd was witnessed who cheered their respective participants. Village Sarpanch Mr Mashooq Ahmad was also present during the event and encouraged the youth to participate in sports activities as he distributed awards to the winners.

Brigadier Sajjanhar Visits NCC Annual Training Camp at Udhampur

  Aadil Akbar  Udhampur, August 29: Brigadier Deepak Sajjanhar, SM, Group Commander of NCC Group Headquarters Srinagar, visited the Annual Training Camp of 7 J&K Battalion NCC Kupwara at the Zorawar Training Academy, Udhampur. The camp, which began on August 23 and will conclude on September 1, 2025, holds special significance as it is the first training camp organized by the newly raised battalion.
