 Indian Army organised a Village Mela at Chakkigam Kupwara.  Aadil Akbar Kupwara  Indian Army organised a Village Mela at Chakkigam area in the frontier district of Kupwara. The event was held in continuation with Army's efforts to bridge the gap between Jawan and Awam. The event highlighted the importance of women empowerment and education for upliftment of the society. The event constituted of various cultural and sports activities focussing on women empowerment and saw huge participation by locals who were very excited to be part of such a mega event and praised the Army for their efforts.   The event constituted of enthralling performances by the students which mesmerised the audience all along.  *Lolab Valley in North Kashmir celebrates Vijay Diwas to commemorate India's victory over Pakistan during the 1971 war* Aadil Akbar Kupwara In Consonance with the ongoing celebrations for *'Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'* & *'Swarnim Vijay Varsh'*, the Lolab Valley in North Kashmir celebrated 'Vijay Diwas' today by organising several events across the valley. Various commemorative events such as *'Vijay Diwas Drawing  and Poster Making Competition', 'Patriotic Dance Competition', 'Patriotic Song Singing Competition', 'Screening of Documentary on Victory of India in 1971 War' and 'Tiranga Rally by Local Youth' etc were organised in the Lolab valley*.  INDIAN ARMY ORGANISED MEDICAL CAMP AT GOVT HIGH SCHOOL, KIGAM  KUPWARA Aadil Akbar Handwara In consonance with the ongoing celebrations for *‘Azaadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav’* & *'Swarnim Vijay Varsh’*, Kandi Battalion under aegis of Charkut Garrison of Indian Army Organised a day-long medical camp at Govt High School Kigam to treat the sick and needy from the remote areas in the vicinity of Kandi & Kigam villages.  Leading specialist doctors drawn from various Army hospitals and civil administration were pooled in for the camp to render on the spot consultation and treatment to the patients.  The medical camp also provide facility of Veterinary doctor for treatment of animal of locals belonging to these remote areas and free medicines were provided to the animals for their well being in the winter months.  The medical camp, was organised under Operation Sadbhavna to provide medical care to the villagers in the area at their doorsteps.  A total of 952 loc...
