 On the festive occasion of Ramadan, Army Camp Gujjarpatti organised an Iftar Party for selected residents of Lolab Valley and Media persons on 23 Apr 22.Around 65 residents including media persons participated.


Iftar party was organised with an aim to build and enhance a strong bonding between the Army and it's citizen's and to win their confidence. It is also an initiative to spread a positive message in the environment. During the iftar party discussions over traditions and ways of the locals during the festival, general well being, movement of Gujjars and bakarwals in the upper ridges, and pulse of general public in environment were discussed.The event started with serving of light snacks so that practitioners could break their fast, followed by offering special namaz to the almighty. The special namaz was offered under a Moulvi with practitioners following the Moulvis instructions.


Thereafter, the practitioners were served with the delicacies specially prepared for the occasion which concluded with the opening of Roza followed by the appetizing meal and reading of Namaz. 


In the end, the residents conveyed their thanks and gratitude to Indian Army for organising such an event and making the Ramadan festival a big success.

Brigadier Sajjanhar Visits NCC Annual Training Camp at Udhampur

  Aadil Akbar  Udhampur, August 29: Brigadier Deepak Sajjanhar, SM, Group Commander of NCC Group Headquarters Srinagar, visited the Annual Training Camp of 7 J&K Battalion NCC Kupwara at the Zorawar Training Academy, Udhampur. The camp, which began on August 23 and will conclude on September 1, 2025, holds special significance as it is the first training camp organized by the newly raised battalion.
