KUPWARA UPDATES

 Candlelight Protest in Kupwara & Baramula against killing of innocent people by the terrorists Kupwara A large number of teachers, youth, prominent people and local residents from various parts of Rajwar, Handwara, Qaziabad, Rafiabad and Sopore gathered on roads to hold a peaceful candlelight march. The march was organised against the civilian killings by the terrorists in the valley and in solidarity with the victim family especially with the families of today's martyr lady of minority community at Gopalpora, Kulgam. The participants were holding candles to express sympathy with the victim families over the killings. The placards displayed, demanded an end to civilian killings. The candles were lit to express condolence and solidarity with the bereaved families. The whole society unequivocally condemned the gruesome killings by the Terrorists and demanded end to violence and bloodshed.

 SPREADING THE IDEA OF SPORTSMANSHIP Aadil Akbar Handwara The Indian Army, to ‘Spread the Idea of Sportsmanship’, initiated a drive to make volleyball courts in several villages of Rajwar, Rafiabad, Qaziabad, and Sopore.  A total of 100 Volleyball courts have been prepared in the area by local Sports and Youth Clubs. Mr. Ashim Kamath, a sports enthusiast, Kashmir lover, and CEO of Akaar Founders Pvt Ltd presented Volleyball nets and volleyball to the Sports clubs. To enhance the sportsman spirit amongst the youth, Volleyball day was celebrated on 14 May 2022 throughout the villages. Such events are proving to be instrumental in channelising the youth constructively.  The locals of the area have exhibited immense response to the event and will bring the citizens and Indian Army to march shoulder to shoulder.
