On 15th August 2022, Har Ghar Jhanda Programme was organised by 57 Battalion BSF as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Govt High School Melyal. National flag hoisted by Sh A K Vidyarthi, DIG SHQ BSF Kupwara in the premises of Govt Hight School Melyal. During the programme Sh Surendra Mishra, Commandant, Sh Ramakant DC, 09 SOs, 62 Ors of 57 Bn BSF, troops of CRPF and J&K Police were present. On this occasion civil dignitaries i.e. Dr Paran Gowda, Ministry of Textiles (Govt of India), Mr Ramesh Khajuria Chairman (WWEPC), Md Irfan Ali BDO(Karalpora), Mr Farid Ahmed Khan BDC(Karalpora), Mr Sayed Rafiq Shah former MLC (Trehgam), Md Sultan Malik Principal along with 19 teachers & 220 students of Govt High School Melyal and 25 women & 78 men of village Melyal were also present. After flag hoisting, Sh A K Vidyarthi DIG SHQ BSF Kupwara distributed sweets and gifts to the students and villagers. 


A cultural programme was also organised by the students of Govt High School Melyal.

Shri Ajay Kumar Mishra, Second In Command, 57 Bn, BSF hoisted the National flag at the School in presence of Sh Sita Ram DC and BSF also distributed sweets and national flags to the students and local villagers.


 The event was attended by approximately 300 persons, comprising of students, Principal, teachers, parents and local panchayat leaders. 


The students of the school presented a number of cultural programme, i.e. patriotic songs, dance & lectures, and thereafter prize distribution was carried out for the winning students. 


Shri Ajay Kumar Mishra, 2IC, 57 Bn BSF briefed the students and motivated them to stay away from drugs and narcotics.


 In this sequence Sh PPS Negi 2IC of 57 Bn BSF hoisted the National Flag at Govt Primary School Kachhama. During the programme Shailesh Pratap Singh along with 04 SOs and 20 Ors and 30 villagers of village Kachhama were present. A cultural programme was also organised by the students of Govt Primary School Kachhama.


 Besides, National Flag hoisted at all FDLs of 57 Bn BSF as well as Tac HQ Handwara by Sh Sher Singh, DC in presence of Dr Kushal Pramanik AC/MO, 28 SOs and 60 ORs. During flag hoisting ceremony national anthem sang by all available troops.

Brigadier Sajjanhar Visits NCC Annual Training Camp at Udhampur

  Aadil Akbar  Udhampur, August 29: Brigadier Deepak Sajjanhar, SM, Group Commander of NCC Group Headquarters Srinagar, visited the Annual Training Camp of 7 J&K Battalion NCC Kupwara at the Zorawar Training Academy, Udhampur. The camp, which began on August 23 and will conclude on September 1, 2025, holds special significance as it is the first training camp organized by the newly raised battalion.
