NYC Workers Demand Fair Treatment and Recognition in Handwara Debate

Handwara

In a passionate debate hosted by Adv Mir Imran, a prominent rights activist based in Handwara, the challenges faced by National Youth Corps (NYC) workers in Jammu and Kashmir took center stage. NYC workers from various sectors shared their struggles, highlighting the inadequate salaries, lack of benefits, and precarious job security they endure while serving on the frontline.

Adv Mir Imran pointed fingers at the present-day administration for failing to uplift the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the urgent need for action to address the plight of NYC workers. The debate shed light on the vital contributions of NYC workers in times of crisis, including during the COVID-19 pandemic, elections, and natural disasters, yet their efforts often go unrecognized and unrewarded.

Social Activist Sheikh Jamsheed also presented demands before the Lieutenant Governor Administration, echoing the calls for fair compensation, job security, and recognition for NYC workers.

The participants unanimously urged the administration to take immediate steps to rectify the situation and implement policies that prioritize the welfare and dignity of NYC workers. With their voices united, NYC workers are determined to continue their fight until their genuine demands are met.

Adv Mir Imran and Sheikh Jamsheed call on the Lieutenant Governor Administration to prioritize their demands for fair compensation, job security, and recognition, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to the community.
